Guiding Architects, article: Brazilian Architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha wins Praemium Imperiale 2016 (Fig. 1)

After winning the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale, the Brazilian architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha was awarded last September for the second time this year, now with the Praemium Imperiale arts prize, by the Japan Art Association. Our architecture trip in November will take place in São Paulo and include some of the brutalist buildings this Pritzker winner is best known for.
