Tour in Budapest:
Architecture, History & Music

Starting from the medieval city centre of Pest, we discover already disappeared traces as well as outstanding buildings on the foundations of the past. We experience the city’s biggest building boom from the end of the 19th century, the beginning of modernity, politically motivated urban development from different eras and finally end up in the 21st century in a building that can only exist like this in Budapest. In the second part of this tour we are on the trail of music and architecture. The professionally renovated Opera House, the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and the House of Hungarian Music, inaugurated in 2022, provide different answers to the question of whether architecture is really “frozen music”.
