House Koopvaardersplantsoen: Guided Visit with the Architect

InsighTours, launched by Guiding Architects and Wienerberger, focus on buildings nominated for the Brick Award, an international award that presents outstanding brick architecture from all around the world.

On 20 October 2022 we offer a guided visit of the House Koopvaardersplantsoen in Amsterdam.

The house at Koopvaardersplantsoen is a built manifesto against the industrialization of the building business. Since the architects where in control if the entire project, they were able to execute several special requests. Bureau SLA treated the house as a test object and acted as client, architect and contractor.

Get a unique insight into this highly personalized house with an unusual spatial layout! Architect Peter van Assche will tell you all about the design and the building process.

The tour starts with a welcome by Anneke Bokern (architour and member of the Brick Award pre-jury). Afterwards, architect Peter van Assche (Bureau SLA) will tell you all about the design and the building process and show you around the house.
