Grzegorz Piątek
He is an architecture critic, researcher, curator and writer based in Warsaw. Trained as an architect, he worked as a staff editor at Poland’s leading architecture magazine Architektura-Murator in 2005-2011. The focus of his research is 20th and 21st century architecture in Poland, particularly in Warsaw. In 2012-2019 he co-ran Centrum Architektury foundation where he oversaw its publishing activities, including architecture guides. He contributes to various printed and electronic media, including Przekrój and Vogue Poland. He wrote the biography of Warsaw’s celebrated pre-war mayor Stefan Starzynki and a book on the post-war reconstruction of the city. Lives and works in Warsaw.
