Villa Foscari: the building by Andrea Palladio with an unsolved mystery

Located in Mira, near Venice, Villa Foscari is a Palladian masterpiece. The building is also known as “La Malcontenta” (the discontent) and, according to the legend, that nickname originates from the lady that used to be confined there, alone, to pay for her infidelity. It is said that the woman lived in Villa Foscari for thirty years, but how she survived remains a mystery.
