Valencia, Spain's third largest city, has gone from being a little-known agricultural capital to establishing itself in recent years as a modern and active city. Its recognition as European Green Capital 2024 reflects municipal policies focused on sustainability, responsible mobility and the improvement of public spaces. Its Mediterranean climate and high quality of life have accompanied an urban transformation based on the creation of green areas and the expansion of pedestrian spaces, especially in the historic centre.

A first visit to the city should include the historic centre, the conversion of the old Turia riverbed into an urban garden, the works of Santiago Calatrava and the maritime neighbourhoods. After this initial tour, the experience can be extended with specialised thematical visits or excursions to the surrounding area, which allow visitors to discover cultural landscapes such as the Albufera or the wine-growing region of Utiel-Requena.
